Sara Poisson (born 1964) is a writer, poet, essayist, and the author of eleven books. She takes part in various poetry and prose festivals as well as other international projects. Her work is featured in literary anthologies published both in Lithuania and abroad. A well-known contributor to cultural publications in Lithuania, Sara has also won multiple awards in various poetry competitions. Her work has been translated into English, German, Dutch, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Georgian, Latvian, Belarusian, and Russian. In her writing, she explores themes such as the body, discomfort, the deconstruction of what are called “self-evident things,” multiplicity, and crossing boundaries.
